FIT Medoc ITINERARY

Your itinerary is based on three or four night stays. Itinerary is subject to change based on local operational requirements at the time of the tour. Itinerary below details the full 4-night package. Reservations departing Sunday, September 8th do not include the post-race walk & lunch.

DAY ONE | THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH
Welcome to Bordeaux! After arriving in France, please make your own way to the hotel in Bordeaux for late afternoon check-in. Your entry, t-shirt, booklets and any additional information for the race will be waiting for you at the hotel. If you would like to add private airport transfers to your booking we are happy to make arrangements for you. This evening join FIT for a welcome wine tasting with our Advanced Sommelier, Lauren Daddona, learn about wines in the region and meet your fellow FIT runners!

DAY TWO | FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH
After breakfast, shake out your legs from transit with a run along the river or a walk through town. This evening dinner is on your own unless you opt to add the famous or rather infamous Mille-Pates dinner (pre-race runner pasta dinner, entertainment, & event like no other) to get race ready and enjoy fireworks to officially kick off race weekend! If you opted to book the pasta dinner, roundtrip transfers from the hotel to dinner are included. Event has limited seating and will sell out.

DAY THREE | SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH
Today is the day! The start of the 38th edition of the Medoc Marathon! Grab your best costume and get ready to be entertained along the 26.2 miles of beautiful vineyards! The marathon starts at 9:30am and spectators will be treated to games along the Pauillac as they await the runners. This evening, upon return to Bordeaux, enjoy some pizzas to celebrate your finish!

DAY FOUR | SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH
Congratulations on your marathon experience! If you are departing today, we hope you enjoyed your stay. If you have opted to join us for the day (which we HIGHLY recommend), get ready for an unforgettable walk and lunch. Continue the celebration with several chateaux wine tastings as we walk about 10km and enjoy the beautiful vineyards. Lunch will be served from around 12-2pm and the event will conclude around 3:30pm.

DAY FIVE | MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH
We hope that you enjoyed your time in Bordeaux and wish you a safe journey home or on your continued adventures!

The Hotel Indigo* or similar: 4-star property with a panoramic breakfast terrace, lobby restaurant and bar situated in the heart of the Chartrons district and a 10 min walk from Place des Quinconces. FIT loves this property and location!
